Blah, I've been making sure to visit every day to see if the SF parody has been released yet, and it's still not out.

I suggest you check out this game by Edmund McMillan and Glaiel. I'm not usually a fan of McMillan's work... mainly because he comes off as a pompous ass on the BBS and I think his other work is a bit overrated, but this one was really well done. It was a nice change from the usual blood a guts game.

"Disc 1" of the Metal Gear collab is out and it's pretty amazing. There was at least some humor in each of the segments even if they weren't the best animated. Sometimes though I felt as if some of them were a bit too inspired by Egoraptor, but hey, it's kind of hard to parody MGS without sounding like him. The ending credits were very well put together. Hopefully it wont take Stamper and company a long time to put together Disc 2, because I'm really looking forward to it.

Check out the MGS Collab here.

In other news, the game Dino Run was taken off the front page, which is really unfortunate because it is an amazing game. A lot of stuff stays on the front page for a lot longer that shouldn't be there. Retro, pixelated graphics and midi type music really give this game a great feel. Not only is it a race against time type game, but it has sort of an RPG thing to it where you can improve your dino. Theres also a bunch of things to collect and different race modes. Plus, dinosaurs are cool no matter what.

Play Dino Run here.

Also, I got really into Governor of Poker (which is also on the front page). It's a very well put together game with great AI and features. I would have liked to be able to customize what my character looked like more though. The whole thing turned out to be disappointing because it turned out to just be an ad for the full version of the game which costs money and is on a different site. Disappointing to find out you spent time trying to get out of the starting town only to find out you can't. Well made game but I wont link to it because I don't want you to waste your time either.

Also, I'm a bit late on talking about this, but I have a few comments on the NG Awards that happened recently. First off, I was very happy to see that Waterlollies had won. Adam Phillips is probably the best animator that has graced NG. I am very disappointed that people have been saying that it's not fair that he won because he's a pro animator and what not. I think having him here will only make other people strive to have movies as professional as his are, and I don't think we should count his past work experience against him.

I was a bit miffed to find out that Luis had won user of the year. Without a doubt he contributes a lot of great things to Newgrounds, and I sure as heck am not saying I'm the user of the year or anything. It's just that he's pretty much a in-house member of Newgrounds and it just reeks of nepotism. Hopefully next year someone a bit more distanced from Tom Fulp and company will have a chance to win.

It's about time I made a new post.

I have to say, I think Pico Day '08 has brought the biggest group of great flashes out of NG that I have seen in awhile. Usually on these special NG holidays, you will get maybe 5 or so great flashes with the rest being only average. This year even the "average" flashes were better than most, and I really enjoyed and was entertained by them all. Great job by all authors. I was going to post links to my favorites, but really anything that breaks a 4 rating is an amazing movie, and I suggest you watch.

I've been coming to Newgrounds since before there was even any flash, and the assassin games made by Tom Fulp were HTML based. It's great to see how far Newgrounds has come, and I'm glad I've been here for all of it. NG has always been my favorite website, and I'm glad to be an old school member (I actually signed up in 1999 but lost the username, and signed up again in 2000). I enjoy writing reviews for movies, and as I've gotten older (and a tad wiser) I've tried to make them much more helpful. The redesign is great, and I can't wait to see what is instore for Newgrounds in the future.

The redesign is amazing, and I'll put something here when I have more time.
